Travelling to Bengkulu from Lampung

South Shore Lampung
Lampung to Bengkulu approximately 550 km by land almost in over 14 hours trip. The route will be visiting Kota Agung, Liwa, Manna and other cities along the south shore of Lampung and Bengkulu. The scene along the shore was absolutely amazing . As the sea is still virgin and also the bukit barisan forests are included in the national forest heritage. If you looking for a very untouchable natural scene you will get that along your travel from lampung to Bengkulu.
The road itself lies in mountainous altitude, I recommend to use an over 1000cc engine if you travel by using family car.

A Trip To Bengkulu

It was actually my very first time to go to Bengkulu City, the capital of Bengkulu Province. A city some hundreds years ago known as Bengcoolen, where Sir Stamford Raffles from England discovered Rafflesia Arnoldi which is declared as the largest flower in the world. It was Dr. Joseph Arnold who gaves the name Rafflesia Arnoldi, he was himself was assistant to the Sir Stamford Raffles.

The city also still enheritaged with a fort build by the Britain so called Fort Marlborough in 1714 - 1719 . This fort was handed over by the Britain to Netherland on following the 'Tractate of London' which mainly tells us about the exchange of land teritorry. Later restored by the Indonesian on 24 April 1984.
